Authorities say guns were seized at three city schools on the heels of a spike in gun violence over the past several weeks.Officers say a 17-year-old boy got into some form of a dispute with another student at Franklin Delano Roosevelt High School.
As school safety officers separated the pair in a fight, a loaded gun was found on that teen’s waistband.Police say two other guns were seized from teens at schools in the Bronx.
The NYC School Safety Coalition says a loaded .32-caliber revolver was found on a 15-year-old student at Mott Haven High School during a random screening. They say an unloaded revolver was found inside the backpack of an 18-year-old student during daily scanning at Adlai Stevenson High School. He was arrested by police.
